This was originally going to have a much more complex background, but I got into this instead and ended up liking it as it is. As for the coloring of the wolf, I decided to honor my character Kushiro, who I've only drawn once before.
He is shown running and turning in a bit of a perpetual circle (kinda, at least that was what was supposed to be drawn ) to represent the struggles in life as we often find ourselves running in a circle in search of the direction were are supposed to go. This is for everyone who has ever felt as Kushiro is shown as feeling now.
O.o All of your work is amazing, but I really love this! It has a strong feeling connected to it , and you can really sense it through the position of Kushiro~! His expression really tells of a sense of lost, hopeless fear. XD
Thanks! I'm glad you're getting the effect I was hoping to achieve with this. Currently this is how I feel at times, and most people my age do... when you're out of high school and realize you have no freaking clue what you're supposed to do with your life... And everyone else is telling you something different.
Alrighty bud, you are starting to scare me with the quality of your work. This is a totally different spin on how you approach things.
The point of view angle is well thought out as the viewer can almost become confused, or even put in the paws (LOL) of the character. The emotion of his face is strong along with the angle of his body, making him look helpless and perpetuating. The shadows are almost engulfing hims body, but he looks like he is attempting to run away from himself. Excellent!
